About Us

Camp Cedar Falls is a Christian camp owned and operated by the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. It is situated 6000 feet up in the San Bernardino Mountains among beautiful and majestic cedar, pine, oak, and spruce trees.

Camp Cedar Falls is open to all without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, or handicap.

Check In/Out: Check in is from 3 10 pm on the day of arrival unless otherwise arranged. Please call the lodge office during these hours if you will be arriving late. Check out is 11am on the day of departure unless otherwise arranged.

Minimum Stay: Two nights lodging and four meals are required for those staying in the Cliffside Lodge on the weekend.

Damage or Loss: Please help us care for our camp property. Any reported damage will be charged to your group. Do not move furniture or equipment without permission from the ranger or lodge office personnel. Cooking is prohibited in the lodge guest rooms or cabins.

Liability Insurance: Groups not affiliated with the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists must provide liability insurance. Submit a Certificate of Insurance naming the Southern California Association, all affiliated organizations, employees and agents as additional insured.

Reservations: Reservations are made through the Camp Cedar Falls lodge office. Office hours are normally 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Reservation requests can be held for up to seven calendar days without a deposit. A deposit is required to finalize reservations.

Payment: Final payment is due at checkout by cash or check only. (no credit cards accepted) The group leader is responsible for all charges. Any check that does not clear the bank will result in a $50 fee. Cancellations or date changes requested less than 60 days prior to the reserved date will receive no deposit refund. Cancellations or date changes received 60 or more days prior to the reserved date, will receive a 50% deposit refund.

Emergency Phone Number/Messages: The number to give for emergencies is (909) 794-2911. After office hours this is an emergency number only. Please check for messages at the office in the lodge.

Telephones: Some cell phones work at Cedar Falls (AT&T or Verizon) Pay phones are located in the lodge lobby. Rooms do not have phones in them. If you are expecting a call, have them call the office at (909) 794-2911. We will only be able to take a message. We are generally unable to locate our visitors, so please be sure to check for messages.

 

Restrooms: Public restrooms are located in the lodge on the lobby level, in North Village, South Village and next to the tennis courts. The restrooms in the Cafeteria are available during meal times only.

Campfires: Campfires are permitted only by permission from the U.S Forest Service and are restricted to designated fire pits. High fire hazard may cause the cancellation of all campfire permits. Camp Management will advise if a fire is allowed or not.

Food Service: Well-balanced lacto-ovo vegetarian menus are used. No caffeinated beverages are served. Meal serving lines are generally open for one hour. To keep our facilities beautiful, we request that food and drink is limited to the designated eating areas. If additional cleaning or spot removal is required there will be a minimum charge of $25. There is to be absolutely no cooking in lodge rooms. Meal tickets or wristbands may be required. No refunds will be given for unused meal tickets or wristbands.

Standard Meal Times: Breakfast 8:30 to 9:30 am
  Lunch 1-2 pm
  Supper 6-7 pm

Arrangements must be made if a group wishes to alter this schedule. A meal count must be given 7 days prior to arrival. You must order 3 meals for full day stays. The group will be charged for the count given, plus any extra people above the original count. Please notify us of any changes to the meal count.

Wildlife: Guests should be aware that we co-inhabit Camp Cedar Falls with Coyotes, Deer, Bears and Raccoons. Use caution when exploring the area, especially in the early mornings and evenings.

Quiet Time: So everyone gets plenty of sleep, quiet time hours are between 11pm and 7 am. Please be respectful of your neighbors.

Sabbath: We keep the Sabbath Holy at Camp Cedar Falls- We ask all of our guests to plan quiet activities from sunset Friday through sunset Saturday. We encourage family walks and talks, enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

Pets: Leave your pets at home with a babysitter, as our policy is "No Pets Allowed." Those who come with pets will be asked to find another place for their pet to stay. (Except seeing-eye dogs.)

Supervision: Each group is responsible to provide proper supervision to assure compliance with the camp policies. Camp Cedar Falls staff will courteously inform guests of the camp policies whenever it appears they are not aware or are not complying with them. Children must be supervised at all times. Please observe the load limit of 5 people on the tree house swinging bridge. No one under the age of 18 is allowed to stay in a lodge room without an adult.

Tobacco & Alcohol: Camp Cedar Falls is a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment. Smoking and/or drinking of alcohol is not permitted on Camp Cedar Falls property or in any of the buildings.

Firearms & Fireworks: Discharging of firearms or fireworks or their possession on the grounds is strictly prohibited. Fireworks of any kind are illegal in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Bicycles/Skateboards/Rollerblades: Bicycles may be used cautiously on vehicular roadways and parking lots but not on pedestrian sidewalks or trails. Helmets and shoes must be worn. Skateboards and rollerblades are prohibited.

Sports: Use of the athletic field and sports complex is at your own risk. Both the sports complex and the athletic field are closed during our Sabbath hours (Sunset Friday through sunset Saturday.) Baseball, gymnastics, hiking off marked trails, rappelling, rock climbing, slingshots and tackle football are all prohibited.

Motorcycles/ATVs/OHVs: Are prohibited.

Vehicles: Camp Cedar Falls offers no towing service. Be prepared; carry snow chains November through June. Check highway road conditions at 1-800-427-7623 (Highway # 38). Please do not allow passengers to ride in the back of pickup beds or any other place on any vehicle not specifically designed for passengers.

Use of Stereo Equipment/Radios or TVs: Please make sure that these are not audible to those in adjoining facilities or outside of your vehicle.

Vegetation/Flowers/Rocks, etc: To keep our property beautiful for years to come, we ask that guests not remove plants, rocks, or other items from the grounds, unless previous permission has been given by administration. Thank you!

Accidents/Medical Emergency: Loma Linda University Medical Center, located in Loma Linda, and Redlands Hospital, in Redlands, are the closest medical facilities. Camp Cedar Falls does not have medical personnel on staff. 911 is available for emergencies. Camp Cedar Falls will not assume liability for accidents or injuries covered under group outing insurance policies. Groups are responsible for providing medical coverage for their group.

Power Conservation: Due to the continued power crisis, we ask that you please remember to turn off lights, air conditioners, etc. when they are not in immediate use.

Maintenance Needs: If you notice something broken or in need or repair, please contact someone in the lodge office. We may not know that it needs our attention. Thanks!

Maid Service: Camp Cedar Falls does not offer maid service during a guests stay. Additional towels are available at the lodge office. Trash may be taken to the lobby trash can.

Lost and Found: Lost items will be kept 30 days and then given to charity. If anything has been lost at camp, leave a description at the lodge office. If the item is found, we will be happy to mail it back. Postage and packaging costs varies between $5-$15 depending on size and weight.

Key Return: Please return your keys to the lodge office. There is a $10 charge for each key not returned at the time the guest leaves.

Check-Out Camp Sites: Please pick up trash around your site and put in garbage cans.

Check-Out Lodge Rooms: If you enjoyed your stay with us, you can assist us by removing all used sheets, pillowcases, and bathroom towels. Please stack them in a pile by the bathroom door. Leave all mattress pads, blankets and bedspreads on beds. Leave unused beds made. Turn off lights and air conditioners. This will greatly assist our housekeeping staff. Thank you!

Check-Out Cabins: Please sweep the cabin. Pick up trash in room and put in garbage. Turn off heater and lights. Close the doors and windows.
